Structural Engineer Focusing on Positive Impact Projects
Mark shares lessons from his structural engineering practice. He sincerely focuses on projects that have positive impacts on people, planet and spirit – including small dwellings, high energy performance buildings, sustainable agriculture structures, and off-grid homes. He has worked on factory-built modular buildings, laneway homes, tiny homes, off-grid cabins and tree-supported structures. To shed light on how to realistically approach constructing your own dream, he will share what he’s learned from supporting others that are already doing it.
Mark has 10 years of engineering experience, always with sustainability at heart. He has been a structural engineer with a consultancy on larger scale, sustainably-principled projects throughout Western Canada. For the last 4 years, he has been dedicating his work to clients really trying to build positivity. He is also converting a 1973 Argosy trailer into a small, off-grid living space of his own.
