About the Show

Exhibitor Showcase

Exhibitors offering products and services related to all aspects of low-impact yet high-style living, including renovation options, kitchen and bath, storage, furnishings, stuff for foodies, and the list goes on!

Quality Speakers

We’re lucky to have the best in the areas of interior design, home construction, storage and lifestyle, life with pets and kids, and so many other current issues affecting housing in BC.

Artists and Local Handmade

Check out our Art in Small Spaces display, as well as LOCAL makers from all over the Lower Mainland. We have strong feelings about local, small, and handmade. (We know you do, too.)

Tiny House village

Even if tiny house living isn’t for you, these beautifully-designed homes are a pleasure to tour and scrape great ideas for storage, finishings, design, and much more.

Who attends the Small Home Expo?

Downsizers, Condo/Townhome Dwellers, and Tiny House Enthusiasts

Downsizers formed our biggest demographic at our original show. But this was followed closely by those who are first time buyers or builders. We know that both these demographics have grown substantially in the last 24 months.

Remodelers and redecorators

Attendees prioritized kitchen and bath, major furniture, lighting, small space gardening, flooring and window coverings, electronics, and paint and finishings.

Why Exhibit?

Even if you already have display elsewhere, our Attendees represent the most discerning consumers who are actively seeking the same thing: solutions. They are all ready to purchase, and they are all in one place.

What about attendees?

How is the small Home Expo Marketed?

Our very first year, in 2019, we succeeded in attracting just under 6000 attendees. Since that time, the housing market has become even more intense. We market the Westcoast Small Home Expo much the same way we market all of our other shows: using a combination of social media posts and paid advertising, paid web advertising, conventional print advertising, marketing at other events, signage, and marketing through our Exhibitors. We do not do radio, television, or a large amount of print media, because it’s not trackable. We use online methods of advertising because we know where our dollars go, and what part of our marketing is working.

We’re very interested in working with each of our Exhibitors on a 1:1 basis to form creative partnerships, and exploring all sorts of fresh ideas. If you’ve got an idea, reach out to our Marketing Manager, Peggy Richardson.

Your investment includes much more than a booth.

Our philosophy of “Beyond the Booth” means that we want to form partnerships with our Exhibitors that help them market their businesses year-round. (We do this for our other events, the Fraser Valley Wedding Festivals, too.) This means things like finding ways to cross over other marketing, social media mentions, and plain, old-fashioned referrals that happen literally every day.

What Exhibitors Said in 2019

We were overwhelmed with testimonials! Check out some of this feedback.

“As an exhibitor who does trade shows year round, I didn’t know what to expect from the Small Home Expo.  To our surprise, the turnout was PHENOMENAL and we only had a our outdoor tent display showing and ended up with a lot of client leads.  Despite it just being only for two days, we will definitely be bringing out our ShelfGenie kitchen display to really showcase our work as we felt the attendance was worthwhile to making the effort to putting out our best foot forward next year!  The organizers were great to work with as well. Thank you.”

“Bath Fitter® Vancouver would like to acknowledge the assistance that was provided by Barb and her team throughout the entire event. Genuine people who are very professional and easy to work with.  The show was well worth our time, money and effort as the West Coast Small Home Expo Team brought out a quality audience. Great show, enthusiastic line of invited speakers and lots of fun with the beautiful array of tiny houses!”
